The Harrison Legacy
From a single family plot to a provincial leader in integrated dairy solutions.
Rooted in Manitoba Soil
The story of Streamline Dairy is inseparable from the history of the Harrison family. What began in 2007 as "Harrison Estates" was a modest operation in Carman with 60 Holstein cows and a singular vision: quality above all else. Thomas Harrison, a third-generation farmer, saw the inefficiencies in the traditional dairy supply chain. He watched as premium milk left his farm only to be mixed with lower-grade product at bulk processing centers.
"The only way to guarantee excellence," Thomas wrote in his 2008 journal, "is to own the process." This philosophy became the cornerstone of what would eventually become Streamline Dairy.
The Foundation
Thomas and Martha Harrison purchase the plot in Carman, MB. The first barn is raised, and the "Harrison Estates" herd is established with a focus on high-butterfat genetics.
Strategic Expansion
The farm expands to 600 acres. The first dedicated transport fleet is acquired, allowing Harrison Estates to bypass third-party haulers and deliver raw milk directly to specialty cheese makers in Winnipeg.
The Processing Revolution
Construction is completed on "Streamline Unit 1", an on-site processing plant capable of pasteurizing and bottling 20,000 liters daily. The company rebrands to Streamline Dairy.
A Vertical Titan
With over 1,200 head of cattle, a fleet of 15 tankers, and a state-of-the-art processing arm, Streamline Dairy stands as Manitoba's premier B2B dairy partner. We remain 100% family-owned.
